BoxJump boards are variable length, medium height base slats used to help train the flyball dog to execute a better box turn. It's fairly typical to see most flyball dogs go head first into a flyball box in order to retrieve the ball. Unfortunately, in accordance with the law of physics, and the desires of most flyball dog handlers who are looking to improve their dog's times this is not an efficient motion.
Most seasoned flyballer's will agree that the box turn is a critical element in producing world class flyball times. Observers of "fast" dogs generally akin the exceptional box turn to a turn executed by most swimmers. This type of box turn requires the dog to angle its body and literally jump on and then jump off the box.
Our customers have found that by placing this extra long low jump at varying distances before the box will encourage dogs to jump onto the box instead of running directly into it. Price is for individual slat only; uprights not included. Need extra uprights?
